    One of the things that has to be on the top of your list if you want to improve your creativity is traveling. If you can’t travel outside of China just try to go to places that are very different than where you are from or where you work.

    In our case and in our industry most people are from Foshan or work in Foshan and come from nearby provinces. If you can travel go to Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Suzhou, Macao, and Hong Kong. This will help you see different things, people, colors, architecture, buildings, styles, etc.

    Just try to do it even if it is work related. But when you travel make sure you pay attention to everything that is around you and to the things that may inspire you to do your next project, product, design or decoration.

    And if you can travel outside of China even better because you will see for sure things that are absolutely different to anything you have ever seen before. The food, the lifestyle, the architecture, the sky, the colors, the way people dress, the way the homes, restaurants, businesses are decorated. All of these will help you learn new things, styles, etc., and for sure will help you with new ideas but you need to make sure that if you go, make sure you open your mind and make yourself available to process and record everything you see or at least anything that may help you.

    A must stop if you are in the ceramic industry and if you can travel outside of China is traveling to Bologna Italy to the yearly fair that is held there and since you are in Italy already it wouldn’t hurt going to Verona and Venice just less than two hours away. Maybe at this moment the second best option would be traveling to Coverings fair held in Orlando, sometimes Chicago, last year Atlanta but the following year would be in Las Vegas (Disneyland for the adults). Here you can see the most modern hotels that seem to be in constant competition for having the best Restaurants, Shows, Bars, Nightclubs, etc., and certainly worth watching.     This is my second trip here. I liked it so much the first time I came that my wife and I decided to come here again. We like the atmosphere, weather, hospitality and also the architecture, creativity of the Balinese people, these guys are unbelievable craftsmen.

    I see here many colors, forms, styles, different and interesting designs and applications of product that hopefully will help me get inspired for future new product launches, space designs or decoration for our business.
